Our Connections team has a fantastic opportunity for a Connections Assistant to join them in Salford/Preston.
Our Role
As a Connections Assistant you will work as part of a team, reporting to the Business Connections Delivery Manager, ensuring that all Connections Design and Delivery needs are processed and delivered in accordance with Customer requirements, Regulatory and Electricity North West’s standards of service.
A key part of your role is to respond to both internal and external customer enquiries over the phone and in writing, providing accurate responses and where required offering advice to customers on specific and general aspects of the departments work.
Principal accountabilities of the role include but are not limited to:
* The production of quality work orders for issue to Delivery Partners in accordance with Electricity North West standards of service;
* The preparation of Construction and Developer Packs for the Construction Team, Delivery Partners and Customers;
* Requesting Legal Consents and obtaining regular updates and communicating to the customer, Project Engineers and Delivery Partners;
* Requesting Meter Point Administration Numbers (MPAN) and communicating these to customers;
* Liaising with Electricity North West’s Delivery Partners to ensure work is programmed and completed in a timely manner;
* Proactively monitoring projects to ensure delivery against the customer’s requested ‘power on date’ and maintaining regular contact with customers to provide excellent customer service;
* Ordering Plant and materials, raising orders using SAP and requesting invoices;
* Taking ownership of the Guaranteed Standards of Performance (GSoP) reporting, producing accurate reports to support our commitment to 100% compliance;
* Managing the ‘As-Laid Drawings’ process, including registering, tracking, checking and processing as-laid drawings;
* Seeking opportunities to improve Customer Service and build relationships with customers;
* Acting as the point of contact for internal and external customer enquiries;
* Responding to customer enquiries providing advice to customers on specific and general aspects of the department’s work.
The successful candidate must, at the start of employment have permission to work in the UK without sponsorship.
What we’re looking for
* Hold GCSE level qualifications grades A-C including Maths, English Language and Science;
* Hold an NVQ Customer Service level 3 qualification or equivalent (desirable);
* Have proven experience working in a customer service environment;
* Have an understanding of, or be prepared to learn, Connections Guaranteed Standards of Performance;
* Be proficient in the use of Office 365;
* Have a working knowledge of SAP (desirable);
* Be an excellent written and verbal communicator together with excellent interpersonal skills;
* Have the proven ability to work as part of a team;
* Be highly organised with the ability to prioritise your own workload;
* Have the proven ability to achieve deadlines in order to meet individual and team set targets whilst meeting the demands of different stakeholders;
* Be flexible and adaptable in your approach.
