Job description
Job Responsibilities
1. Manage and direct the Technical Support Team to provide production, performance, assurance, technical, analytical, and data quality support to the Maintenance Engineering team.
2. Manage and direct the Technical Support team to achieve business and functional objectives and meet key performance measures.
3. Manage the development of individuals and the engagement of the team.
4. Manage the arrangements for staff safety and competence.
5. Monitor asset performance, reliability, productivity, and efficiency.
6. Provide technical guidance and support.
7. Undertake survey and design work.
8. Manage the assurance and non-compliance process within the delivery unit.
9. Undertake technical inspections and investigations.
10. Provide local requirements to arrange track monitoring trains and receive outputs.
11. Maintain the accuracy of systems, databases, and records.
12. Review and approve method statements and/or plans for design and/or work activities as required.
13. Undertake an agreed programme of staff surveillance, work quality, and asset condition checks.
Job Requirements
14. Relevant technical competence
15. Knowledge of maintenance delivery processes and techniques
16. Knowledge of safety and compliance management processes
17. Knowledge of the operational railway environment
18. Detailed knowledge of relevant standards and procedures
19. Design knowledge and experience
20. Failure/incident management and rectification techniques
21. Knowledge of other functional disciplines
22. Good interpersonal, influencing, communication and organization skills
23. HNC/HND or equivalent qualification
Desirable Skills
