KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
1. Responsible for the safe supervision of the facilities and the health and safety of all facility users.
2. Provide effective, preventative life guarding of all pool sessions.
3. Carry out the emergency action plans in the event of any accident or injury and effect water rescues and first aid treatment in line with the appropriate training.
4. Maintain physical and lifesaving training at the level required to comply with current Health & Safety regulations and any additional standards set by High Life Highland, and participate in any training provided to assist with this requirement.
5. Assist with and supervise the efficient and safe operation of water and land-based activities.
6. Organise and lead activities and classes within the programme as required.
7. Encourage safe and acceptable user behaviour.
8. Teach swimming as part of our Learn to Swim Programme.
9. Ensure that items of fixed and portable equipment are maintained to the required standard of safety and cleanliness and are set out safely when required.
10. Liaise with other users and centre staff on the day-to-day operation of the centre.
11. Update yourself regularly on all written procedures where relevant.
12. Bring to the attention of the centre manager or supervisor any improvements that might increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the centre.
13. Ensure the facility cleaning programme is carried out to the required standard.
14. Deliver inductions in the Fitness Suite.
15. Tour, promote & sell High Life Memberships to potential new customers.
16. Provide the required high level of customer care.
