We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer who will be responsible for the design and implementation of new products and product variations, handling component obsolescence, and providing manufacturing support. The Engineer must be technically well-rounded and a self-starter.
Duties include but are not limited to:
* Design, analysis, and prototyping of Sensors & Controls products – accelerometers & inclinometers
o Technologies include MEMs, Servo-feedback, and electrolytic tilt sensors
* Systems simulation, modeling, and technical documentation
* Project design and part procurement for electronic system design
* Participate in research projects for new product concepts
* Develop detailed engineering materials including block diagrams, schematics, component drawings, specifications, manuals, test procedures, and Engineering Change Notices
* On a weekly basis, provide project updates in an Integrated Product Team
* Collaborate with mechanical engineering resources on sensor products
* Provide production support for all sensor products
* Provide technical support when doing testing at off-site test houses
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor of Science in Engineering (electrical or computer science)
* Experience 3-5 years in the electronics industry
* Mixed analog, digital circuit board design, analysis, and prototyping
* Simulation and hands-on development of electronics hardware
* Strong analytical problem-solving skills
* Develop and execute test plans to validate implemented solutions
* Follows projects through to completion
* Some knowledge of data communication network layers, protocols, and hardware
* Ability to design, review, and create schematic drawings and PCB layouts for sensor products
* Experience working in a cross-functional environment
* CAD program experience: Altium, OrCAD (or Allegro)
* Test equipment experience: Oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers
