Our client is a leading manufacturer of composite and PU material solutions for various industries, including defence, aerospace, health, rail, and automotive.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform root cause analysis to troubleshoot material issues and implement measurable solutions to improve production quality.
* Characterise manufacturing processes using tools like PFMEA to identify potential risks and optimise reliability.
* Analyse trends and spot anomalies in operations to provide insights and actionable reports that drive smarter decisions and enhance performance.
* Develop and fine-tune manufacturing processes, including impregnation, pressing, and blown film lines, to improve efficiency and quality.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technological advancements to champion innovation and sharpen our competitive edge.
* Work with R&D and design teams to ensure new products transition smoothly into manufacturing.
* Oversee the set-up of specifications, procedures, and instructions needed for the successful manufacture of new grades.
Requirements
* HNC or equivalent qualification in a relevant science or engineering field.
* Previous experience in technical manufacturing engineering roles desirable but not essential.
* Proactive approach with the ability to prioritise and support multiple projects simultaneously.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex technical issues.
* Comfortable working in a growing manufacturing environment with a flexible approach to shifting demands and processes.
* Keen focus on detail, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
* Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and lead technical projects.
