Job summary We are looking to recruit a Scheduling Coordinator on a permanent basis to support our Community Dental team based at Clarendon in Hebburn. The post holder will join a team of administrative support staff who provide essential administrative functions, whilst interfacing with clinical and administrative staff, patients and the general public. The service is fast paced, and you would be expected to carry out a variety of administrative tasks with main priority of managing dental waiting lists booking patients appointments within appropriate timescales. Candidates must be able to demonstrate they have the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels by telephone and in person. Excellent organisational skills, flexibility and time management are also essential. The successful candidate should have excellent keyboard skills and a working knowledge of software packages and IT systems. Please note there may be occasional requirement to cover out in the clinics on reception as required within various locations across Sunderland, South Tyneside and Gateshead. Main duties of the job The successful candidate will be hard working and patient focused. They should also be organised and have the ability to prioritise their workload without direct supervision. Candidates should have experience in using various IT systems. There is an expectation to work between the hours of 8.30am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will need to have a flexible approach to work and be adaptable to service need as in times of shortfalls there will be an expectation that they cover clinics at either South Tyneside, Sunderland or Gateshead.
