JOB DESCRIPTION RESPONSIBLE TO: Locality Manager RESPONSIBLE FOR\: The post-holder is responsible for the provision of a range of training and support services to administrative, teaching and management staff in schools. JOB PURPOSE: Provide, under the direction of a Locality Manager, a range of training and support services to administrative, teaching and management staff in schools in order that they can make effective use of the C2k System. SCOPE & CONTEXT The post holder will contribute to the development of an overall implementation strategy in relation to aspects of the C2k system and provide training and school-based/Service Desk support of the C2k System, as directed by the Locality Manager. Additionally, he/she will provide support for schools’ staff in elements of the Core and Resources modules and in the general usage of C2k systems. As C2k operates province-wide, applicants should note that they may be required to support the service in the Education Authority. MAIN DUTIES Assist with the design, development and delivery of in-service strategies which will contribute to the effective use by schools of the services provided by C2k, especially the Office Administration elements of their Management Information Systems, within guidelines established by C2k. Plan and deliver effective training to the administrative, teaching and management staff in schools within guidelines provided by the Locality Manager, taking responsibility, when necessary, for whole school in-service training; Assist with the ongoing development and enhancements to Office Administration aspects of school-based systems; Assist staff in schools to make effective use of a range of elements of their Management Information System; Contribute to the customisation of schools’ systems and associated documentation, within guidelines established by C2k; Advise staff in schools on security and control procedures in relation to their systems, within guidelines established by C2k; Provide appropriate Service desk and on-site support to staff in schools; Assist with administration within the team as required by the Locality Manager; Deliver in-service training to colleagues in C2k and in other school support services; Provide progress reports and updates to Senior Management as required; Provide feedback to the Locality Manager on levels of satisfaction in schools regarding the C2k system and any work being carried out on it by C2k staff and other parties. Assist with ongoing research, development and enhancements of aspects of C2k systems by contributing to pilot testing and quality-assurance of software and participation in cross-project meetings. Undertake any other duties which may from time to time be required by the Locality Manager.
