Project Support Officer
Location : Across sites, both Isle of Wight NHS Trust and Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust ( frequency of visits to each site, to be agreed locally.)
Band 5 :Salary £29,970- £36,483 per annum
Hours:Full- time 37.5 hours per week

The Planning & Strategy team are a dynamic and friendly group of Programme and Project Managers led by the Head of Planning & Strategy, who are responsible for supporting the delivery of specific programmes aligned to the Trust’s key strategic priorities and operational plan. The team plays a crucial role in ensuring that the appropriate frameworks and processes are in place to manage the annual operational / business planning process and agreed strategic priorities. They also provide essential leadership and support to the clinical divisions and corporate services in developing their operational and business plans.
In addition, the team facilitates the implementation of the Trust’s Strategy deployment, through the Strategy into Action framework, ensuring that all planning and programmes are aligned to the Trust Strategy, Strategic Aims and True Norths.
Key responsibilities:
• The Project Support Officer provides high quality, comprehensive and effective project and administrative support to the function in order to facilitate the effective management of the Strategy Portfolio.
• The post holder also undertakes discrete projects as required and plays a key part in supporting, facilitating and monitoring ongoing projects across various workstreams, and supporting drive performance improvement in these areas.
• Overseeing and managing the administration of the Joint Business Case Review Committee (BCRC) process by supporting the Programme Manager and Head of Planning & Strategy. Ensuring Business Cases progress through the correct approvals and delivery routes, scheduling meetings, logging and tracking the approval outcomes, tracking progress and realisation of associated Benefits whilst maintaining data in an easy and usable format to provide governance and assurance to the Trust Leadership Teams (TLT) that Business Cases are delivering benefits to the Trust as outlined in the Business Case.

The single corporate service is delivered across both organisation. You may be based at either IWT or PHU and individuals may be required to undertake business travel between sites. For leaders managing staff across multi-site locations, you will need to be visible and provide in person leadership. The arrangements and frequency will be agreed locally.
