About the role
The Facilities Engineer role will be an adaptive role that has progression opportunities over the next 2-4 years.
For the first 2 years, the Facilities Engineer will be working alongside the Facilities operator at Kettering Distribution Centres 1,2,3 maintaining all 3 sites and ensuring they meet legal compliances. Throughout these 2 years, the Facilities Engineer will be also get involved in the New Kettering site build in Symmetry Park.
After the new site is ready the Facilities Engineer will be based there working in a larger Engineering Function.
What you’ll do
You\'ll have a proactive approach to maintaining and improving site standards and will also be responsible for:
* Planned Maintenance tasks as scheduled
* Building fabric maintenance and repairs
* Plumbing or Electrical repairs in line with key skills/trade
* Pest Proofing
* Maintaining accurate records through CMMS (Agility)
* Complying fully with SHE policies and procedures
* PTW completion where required
* Contractor inductions
* RAMS record keeping
* Assisting Maintenance Engineers where required
* Fabrication audits, proactively walk the floor recording and completing defects in line with skillset
* Legionella compliance
* Invisible Systems checks
* Effluent system monitoring and maintenance (including interceptors) where applicable
* Ordering goods and services where required
* Agility Stores upkeep
* Emergency lighting, Fire alarm and Sprinkler tests and documentation where applicable
About you
You\'ll fit right in at Greggs as a Facilities Engineer if you can demonstrate:
* You’ve ideally worked as a Facilities Engineer within the food or FMCG sectors
* You are familiar with building management systems and utilities including Ammonia refrigeration equipment, fire alarm and legionella management and any other SHE responsibilities as site continues to build eg DSEAR
* You’re electrical, plumbing, joinery biased or multi-skilled and at a minimum trained to NVQ level 3
* You’re experienced with Microsoft 365 packages, SAP systems and are familiar with CMMS (or other), Agility experience would be advantageous
* You have external contractor management experience
* You’re comfortable communicating with a wide variety of people, and you have the confidence to respond positively when under pressure
* You can show us that you’re able to comply with Health and Safety and Food Safety standards.
