Following many years of successful programmes, we are delighted to be recruiting for the next cohort of our Apprenticeship Programme for a September 8th 2025 start, with brand new higher-level opportunities available in our Technical and Commercial departments.
We have the opportunity for an Architectural Apprentice to join our Northern Home Counties division based in Milton Keynes.
This role forms part of the Technical team. The technical teams at Bellway are involved before the land is purchased. They create detailed plans to ensure all building materials are bought and in place at the right time. You will be studying towards a Level 4 qualification in Construction Design and Build, delivered virtually by Learning Skills Partnership and awarded by Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB). Alongside your day-to-day role, you will attend online weekly tutor led sessions. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will be enrolled onto a Level 6 degree apprenticeship.
The Role
Some key responsibilities of the role include:
* Development & Maintenance of Group Standard House types, details and specifications
* Working alongside external consultants and suppliers to ensure complete design solution delivered
* Support the upkeep of our Drawing Management system
* Support divisions with information requests
* Attend site-based meetings / audit as and when required
* Keep up to date with responsibilities specific to the role
* Maintain up to date with legislation and regulations as well as have an understanding of future regulations that are coming into effect within the industry

* A nationally recognised qualification – Level 4 Construction Design and Build
* Course Duration: typically, 21 months plus end point assessment (EPA)

In addition to this, we are looking for apprentices with GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C, or above, and a Level 3 qualification in any subject (relevant subjects would be desirable), through either A-Levels, BTEC Extended Diplomas, T-Levels, or Apprenticeship.
You must also:
* Have a willingness to travel around the UK and stay away from home for short periods of time
* Have the ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the business
* Be able to prove your eligibility to work in the UK
The Recruitment Process

Assessment Centre: The final stage in the process is a half-day virtual assessment centre where you will complete a presentation, team activity and competency-based interview.
