As a Finance Apprentice, you will play a crucial role in our transaction team, supporting various finance functions. You will be involved in processing invoices, managing payment runs, reconciling statements, raising invoices, allocating payments, and assisting with credit control. Additionally, you will handle bank reconciliations, petty cash management, and provide valuable information for management accounts and statutory reporting. Over the two years you will have the opportunity to move between four teams within the Finance function which will give you the opportunity to broaden your options. This is a fixed term contract for two years, with study support for the AAT qualification. Where does this role fit in? As part of the Finance team, you will collaborate closely with team members to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of finance processes. Your contributions will directly impact the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and assist in maintaining a robust financial system.
To excel in this role, you will need to have a positive and proactive approach to learning. You should be enthusiastic and committed to the role, with a love for working with numbers, an interest in data and excellent IT skills. You should have the ability to work to deadlines, demonstrate good time management and attention to detail, as well as having excellent numeracy and excel skills.

* This is a Full time, fixed term finance apprenticeship for 2 years. The salary is £22,010.56
* You will study your AAT qualification. Therefore, it is not suitable for those who have already attained AAT Level 3.
* You will have 1 day a week for study and this will be based in either Cardiff or Swansea. You will complete both study hours and working hours of 37 hours a week
* The majority of our Finance team work from home and attend our Swansea office for team meetings, once to twice a month. You will have the option to work remote or in our Newport or Swansea office if you would prefer
