About the Role
As a Residential Support Worker, your key responsibilities will include:
* Supporting young people in their daily activities, promoting independence and well-being
* Assisting with meal planning, preparation, and life skills development
* Maintaining a clean, safe, and supportive living environment
* Providing transport to appointments and community activities
* Encouraging social and recreational participation
* Remaining calm in challenging situations and offering emotional support
What We’re Looking For
* Qualifications – Level 3 (or working towards) in a relevant discipline preferred
* Experience – Prior experience in social care, youth work, or a caring environment (paid or unpaid)
* Knowledge – Understanding of the Care Standards Act 2000 and Children’s Home Regulations 2015
* Skills – Strong communication, patience, and the ability to work as part of a team
* IT Skills – Ability to use a computer (or willingness to learn)
* Driving Licence – Preferred but not essential
