We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Travel Agent to join our team at Middletons Tours.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the seamless operation of the business by preparing important information for customers, handling sales enquiries over the telephone and email, and actively seeking out new business opportunities. The main focus will be on delivering exceptional customer service while working independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
* To provide outstanding customer service by offering knowledgeable, courteous, responsible, and efficient support, showcasing the quality image of the brand and company.
* To ensure all customer expectations and requirements are exceeded throughout the sales experience via telephone, email, or web bookings.
* To achieve personal sales targets, profit targets, and activity levels as required for the role.
* To communicate effectively between customers and suppliers to meet specific requirements.
* To stay up-to-date with the sales system and continuously inform customers about outstanding balances, optional bookings, and group holds.
* To be driven by sales, motivated, and view every call as an opportunity.
* To communicate with customers via telephone and email to discuss important information before departure.
* Administrative tasks - assist with room requests, understand customer needs, and liaise with hotels/suppliers to meet customer requirements, advise customers on any relevant additional costs.
* Attention to detail is essential; the ideal candidate will be diligent, remember key information, and possess excellent professional telephone manner.
Requirements:
* A keen interest in the products we offer and the Coaching Industry.
* The ability to analyse and resolve complex issues, with a love of thinking analytically.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to work efficiently in an organised manner.
* Confidence with standard Microsoft packages such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with the ability to quickly grasp new IT systems.
* Excellent communication skills, with a collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively with leadership and the wider team.
* The ability to manage one's own day effectively, prioritising tasks.
