The meshing development unit (MDU) is seeking a R&D engineer to develop start-of-the-art volume mesh generation methods. The primary focus for this role will be on Delaunay/Voronoi based methods for the creation of polyhedral meshes. Working knowledge of weighted Delaunay/Voronoi tessellation is advantageous. It is expected that the successful candidate has an analytical mind and a strong interest in computational geometry and discrete geometry processing. This role requires engagement in all stages of code and capability planning, research, creation and evolution of meshing functionalities.
Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience
* BS in engineering, Computer Graphics, Computational Geometry or Mathematics, with 2 years’ experience, or MS
* Solid background in computational geometry and discrete geometry processing
* Working knowledge of software development
* Knowledge with Python and C/C++
Preferred Qualifications and Skills.
* Strong interest in programming and algorithm development.
* Working knowledge of GPU programming.
