Position Overview: Entrust Managed Services UK is hiring Our dynamic team based in Newbury are seeking individuals who are dedicated both to customer success and have a passion for building and evolving distributed software services and platforms. If you are interested in joining a rapidly growing market segment; applying your software skills and learning many new ones from experts in PKI, we want to hear from you. The successful applicant will be enabled with a wide variety of tools, provided with bespoke training on Entrust software and introduced to all of the platforms operated by Managed Services. You will be responsible for adding new customer facing digital certificate signing services with great attention to detail; and generating documentation to ensure the wider team can effectively support these. Future proofing and support for high availability will be important aspects of your work. We will provide you with learning opportunities in emerging technologies including containerisation and new cryptographic standards. You will earn autonomy to produce and execute on new designs, develop automation and work with other teams, taking the lead on delivery with experience. The team will also depend upon your advice for problem triage and resolution. About the Candidate: Prior experience with Entrust, PKI and HSM technology is not required, but advantageous. Candidates must have professional experience with Linux OS (or equivalent) and be comfortable working at the command line within secure environments. Customer facing skills are desirable, both written and verbal. Entrust operates a hybrid working model, however applicants must have their own transport and be able to attend the Newbury office, both on a regular basis and as required by work and customer commitments. Applicants must be able to achieve UKSV SC clearance and have the right to work in the UK. Responsibilities: Configure Entrust PKI software packages according to established Entrust Managed Services methodologies. Develop new and enhance existing customer services and documentation according to PKI best practices. Participate in customer facing Key Signing and renewal ceremonies. Identify areas for monitoring and automation improvements Generate ideas and/or proof of concept automation and monitoring tools. Support our Project Management team to ensure technical representation and timely production of project deliverables. Learn about new Entrust products and install freely within lab environments for evaluation. Contribute to efficient and fault tolerant, highly available solutions. Seek out and identify available product upgrades to determine suitability for customers. Self-management within a dynamic environment. Become a trusted expert in PKI and digital certificates. Working according to secure practices and upholding data security standards. Develop personal skills with Linux OS and share knowledge within the team. Take technical responsibility for key accounts with major customers for UK Managed PKI. Perform issue triage and share knowledge gained with colleagues. Mitigation of security vulnerabilities and developing strategies to update without impacting service availability. Support colleagues and our customers with high priority support escalations. Co-ordination with colleagues to ensure planned delivery of new services. Occasional out-of-hours support and acceptance of on-call rota responsibility. Occasional travel to Entrust datacenter or customer site within the UK (typically under 6 times/annum). Basic Qualifications and Experience: (Required) Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems, or equivalent professional experience and education. (Required) 3 years professional experience/demonstrable proficiency with Linux OS (or equivalent) (Required) Professional experience with application integration (Desirable) Experience in customer relationship management. Experience with containerisation technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes). Business software service monitoring and management experience. (Required) Must have unrestricted work authorisation for UK. (Required) Ability to obtain a Government Security Clearance. High Availability, High Security, Internet Data Centre experience, and the requisite rigor needed to operate in that environment. Additional desirable experience: Knowledge of PKI, SSL or Identity technologies. E.g. PrimeKey (EJBCA), RSA Certificate Manager, Microsoft Active Directory Certificate Services. Working knowledge of HSM devices (Thales Luna, nCipher Connect). Experience with scripting, e.g. Bash. Experience creating regular expressions Experience with Microsoft InTune and Windows Native Enrolment Service (WNES) Good communication skills and the ability to operate independently as well as part of a larger team. Experience in working in secure environments. General understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, etc. Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure). Experience with SIEM solutions (Splunk). Basic programming experience (Java, C#). Experience with automation tools, such as Ansible or Terraform.
