JOB ROLE: SENIOR CIVIL ENGINEER
LOCATION: FAREHAM
SALARY: £50,000 – £55,000 plus excellent benefits

Our client, a fast-growing and award-winning consultancy, is looking to add a Senior Civil Engineer to their team.
Qualifications required for the Senior Civil Engineer post:
* Preferred: Incorporated Engineer (IEng) [or working towards] with the Institution of Civil Engineers
* A degree or HND in Civil Engineering
Experience required to be considered for the role of Senior Civil Engineer:
* 5+ years’ consultancy experience
* Experience working with local authorities, developers, and architects on civil engineering aspects of residential, commercial, and retirement/care schemes
* Varied experience working on schemes through the planning process; from pre-app through to condition discharge
* Civil engineering project management experience including projects combining drainage, external works, and highways elements
Role Specific Requirements:
* Work within a Civil Engineering design team responsible for the design of drainage systems, highway layouts, and S278/S38 schemes
* Work in a design office, with regular exposure to developers, architects, and local authorities
* Undertake and manage team resource for design work for:
o Drainage systems in accordance with Sewers for Adoption, building regulations, and the SuDS Manual
o On and off-site highway features, in accordance with the appropriate standards and codes e.g. Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, and Manual for Streets
* Be responsible for writing fee proposals
* Proficient in AutoCAD and Site 3D or equivalent 3D software
* Have knowledge of and be willing to learn other engineering software
* Review junior team members' reports, design, and drawing work
* Attend client meetings and site visits
* Co-operate with the Quality Management System (QMS) through undertaking administrative activities
* Mentor and train junior staff
* Support our regional offices and other departments through knowledge sharing
