My Client, a highly reputable Organization within the AEROSPACE ENGINEERING FIELD is currently hiring a FIRST ARTICLE INSPECTOR / QUALITY INSPECTION ENGINEER.
The purpose of this role is to plan the First Article Inspection requirements for a seat programme using QPM and the FAIR Software system (relevant to the aerospace field).
Responsibilities:
1. Plan First Article Inspection activities against required programs and Patrol Inspection Audit activity.
2. Complete First Article Inspections and reports for top level part assembly seats and deliverable items and Complete Patrol Inspection Audits and reports for designated products.
3. Review and ensure that completed FAI's meet the QAI-148 / AS9102 standard requirements.
4. Conduct follow up Patrol Inspection Audits and maintain a spreadsheet for a Measure of Effectiveness (MOE) on notification corrective actions where applicable.
Characteristics & Skills:
1. Must come from MANUFACTURING and / or ENGINEERING from the AEROSPACE field.
2. Quality Engineer or Inspection experience.
3. Understanding of the application of AS9100 audits and AS9102 First Article Inspection process.
4. Familiarity with Qpulse QPM software and SAP or equivalent systems.
5. Broad experience of reading and interpreting engineering drawings, processes and use of 2 and 3 D images.
6. Experience in using quality management system tools, inspection tools and processes.
7. Numerical and geometry skills.
