Preston North End Football Club are looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to join the facilities and maintenance team as a part-time evening cleaner.
Deepdale stadium not only hosts football matches, but also various other day-to-day meetings, functions, birthday parties, clinics, and much more. Your role will be to ensure that your areas of responsibility are cleaned to a high standard within a set time frame and ready for use by both staff and the general public.
Your place of work will be at Preston North End Football Stadium, Sir Tom Finney Way, Deepdale, Preston, PR1 6RU.
Hours of Work
From 5pm to 9pm Monday to Friday, which is a minimum of 20 hours per week. In addition to your standard working hours, you will form part of a team to work matchdays on a rotational basis as a cleaner. You will be given plenty of notice in advance, and more information can be discussed at interview.
Any further additional hours may be available to cover sickness and holidays from time to time.
Responsibilities
The evening cleaning team is a small team, and the areas of responsibility will include general purpose cleaning of various areas within and around the stadium, which include but are not limited to:
1. Stadium concourse areas
2. Hospitality lounges
3. The stadium bowl
4. Offices
5. The NHS Minerva Centre
6. The Heartbeat Clinic
Some of the above areas require the use of heavy machinery such as a floor machine and a buffer. The role requires you to work on your own for the majority of the time and on occasions as part of a team. Part of your responsibilities will be to open and lock up certain areas.

* A minimum of 12 months experience of working in a professional environment is essential.
* Previous experience of working with heavy machinery such as a floor buffer is advantageous.
* Experience of infection control measures.
* A flexible approach to work on matchdays on a rotational basis. Matchdays are at weekends, evenings, and bank holidays.
