IT Service Continuity Product Manager]
Role Description
AS IT Service Continuity Product Manager (ITSCPM) you will ensure Allianz can recover IT Systems to agreed SLA’s by mitigating the risk of crisis/disaster events to an acceptable level through planning and testing of IT service recovery.
You will own and manage the integrity of ITSC services ensuring; regular testing is performed as per Allianz Group Policy, own remediation of any findings, ensure continuity requirements and capabilities are regularly reviewed/assessed and contribute to the design of continuity mechanisms in conjunction with other Allianz IT teams such as Architecture, exploit new technology capabilities to further enhance Allianz’s ability to recover.
Reporting into the Head of IT Product – Core IT services and own the IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM) function within Allianz UK IT.
Salary Information
Pay: Circa £82,000 per year.
Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.
Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
* Input to the design and lead on the implementation of the continuity and resiliency strategy across the UK organisation.
* Work closely with business stakeholders, IT/IS colleagues and Allianz Technology to continually assess the organisations resiliency and recovery capabilities against organisational goals and external standards.
* Own the ITSCM Strategy and the design and delivery of a rolling 5 year DR Test Plan including the transition to intrusive (live DR) testing
* Keep abreast of industry trends and advise on opportunities or threats within the continuity space.
* Where relevant, act as sponsor or key project stakeholder for ITSC implementations.
Management activities
* In conjunction with relevant stakeholders, set the short- and long-term priorities for the IT Service Continuity within the UK.
* Management and governance of Allianz Technology as the internal provider of IT continuity and recovery services.
* Ensure that all Allianz IT staff with responsibilities for working on service continuity impacting incidents and disasters are aware of their duties and that relevant information is readily available when required
* Work in conjunction with Allianz IT Architecture, Application and Infrastructure Support, Allianz UK Protection & Resilience and facilities teams to design appropriate and cost-justifiable continuity mechanisms and procedures which meet agreed business continuity targets, ensuring alignment with Allianz Group Standards.
* Ensure that all preventive measures and recovery mechanisms for service continuity / disaster events are subject to regular testing in line with a designed and agreed rolling 5 year DR Test Plan.
* Ensuring test plans, test schedules, test documentation and reports are delivered to agreed timescales.
* Collaborate closely with the Protection and Resilience Team to create and update Business Impact Analysis documentation.
* Create and oversee Cloud DR test plans.
* Creation of value cases to exploit new technologies that better achieve business needs.
* Own the resolution of any test defects/shortcomings and applying lessons learned.
Common Activities
* Where applicable, ensure staff are recruited in order to fulfil the requirements of the function, and maintain effective performance measurement, management and development procedures
* Establish, monitor and report on relevant aspects of the IT budget and service
* Partner with colleagues across the Allianz Operations Function (e.g. Protection and Resilience, IT, Facilities, Information Security) in the effective delivery of all ITSC related activities
* Establish a culture of continuous improvement within the team
* Establish knowledge management and capability building methods within the team
IT Risk and Controls
* Accountable for managing IT Risk and controls for ITSC related services including remediation of audit findings.
* Accountable for ensuring the IT risk log for these services, is kept up to date, risks are assigned owned and mitigated within the team.
* Hold regular governance sessions to review risks and pro-actively participate in overall IT risk and control management sessions where required
Budget and Cost Control
* Establish, monitor and report on relevant aspects of ITSC service budget
* Manage the ITSC expenditure so as to remain within budget, seeking prior authorisation for any additional unbudgeted expenditure
Experience
* Requires the application of expertise in professional area(s) to achieve results.
* Experience of IT workplace and operations both within the insurance and market generally.
* Experience of IT risk management processes.
* Understanding of outsource vendor governance and management practices.
* Understanding of outsource vendor governance and management practices.
* Operating at a senior level in the IT arena within a regulated industry delivering results in an IT outsourced service environment.
* Providing contractual and commercial level expertise in relation to service continuity.
* Managing third party ITSC service provision – especially offshore, internal business stakeholders and parallel workstreams.
* Expertise within a multi-stakeholder environment with a demonstrable ability to negotiate, compromise and gain stakeholder buy in.
Technical Skills
Role Specific
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements including FCA Operational Readiness and DORA;
* Experience of ISO 22301 [Business Continuity Management Systems], ISO 27001[Information Security Management Systems] and NIST2.0; and
* Understanding of the BCI Good Practice Guidelines.
* Experience of using risk management processes for risk control and prioritisation.
* Good understanding of enterprise architecture including infrastructure and services to deliver the enterprise IT service across cloud and on-prem.
* Knowledge of backup principles, storage and virtualised environments.
* Knowledge of, and experience in, cyber-resiliency strategies and how they differ from standard resiliency and recovery.

Qualifications
* Degree level or equivalent appropriate experience.
* Masters level degree in a relevant professional discipline is desirable.
* ITIL or TOGAF equivalent qualifications are desirable.
* BCS or CII qualifications are desirable.
