What started as a simple reviews site is now one of the largest online car-changing destinations in Europe - over 10m customers have used Carwow to help them buy and sell cars since its inception. Last year we grew over 50% with nearly £3bn worth of cars bought on site, while £1.8bn of cars were listed for sale through our Sell My Car service.
In 2024 we went big and acquired Autovia, doubling our audience overnight. Together we now have one of the biggest YouTube channels in the world with over 1.1 billion annual views, sell 1.2 million print copies of our magazines and have an annual web content reach of over 350 million.

THE ROLE
We’re seeking a dynamic and results-oriented sales leader to drive our expansion into the automotive retail market. As a player-coach, you'll combine strategic leadership with hands-on sales execution. You’ll be at the forefront of forging and maintaining strategic partnerships with leading automotive retail groups while mentoring and motivating your team to achieve exceptional results.
Carwow is a high-growth company, and you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our sales strategy and culture. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our value proposition resonates with both potential and existing partners.
Your success will be instrumental in accelerating our success and driving the adoption of our innovative products and services.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
* Sales Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing sales team, providing coaching, mentorship, and development opportunities.
* Business Development: Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities within the automotive retail sector.
* Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
* Sales Strategy: Develop and execute effective sales strategies, including territory planning, forecasting, and pipeline management.
* Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Customer Success, OEM, Marketing) to achieve shared goals.
* Sales Enablement: Develop and implement sales tools, processes, and training to enhance team performance.
* Performance Management: Set and track sales targets, analyse sales performance metrics, and provide regular performance feedback.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
* Proven track record in sales leadership and individual sales contributions within the automotive retail industry.
* Strong understanding of the automotive retail landscape and dealership operations; ideally having sold into car dealership groups at all levels.
* Experience building and leading high-performing sales teams.
* Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
* Strong negotiation and closing skills.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills.
