We are pleased to announce a fixed term vacancy within CYP Autism Intensive Support Service which covers Lancashire and South Cumbria Area - Lancashire, Blackpool and Fylde Coast, Morecambe Bay, South Cumbria and Blackburn with Darwen.
The CYP Autism Intensive Support Service provides a multi-agency approach to supporting autistic children, young people and families/carers by delivering a co-ordinated, person-centred and outcome-focused approach to planning and supporting those who require additional and complex support.
We welcome applicants with backgrounds including: Speech and Language/Occupational Therapy/Learning Disability to create a well-rounded team with a plethora of expertise.
Applicants should have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well autonomously and as part of a team.

The post holder will support the provision of a Children’s Autism Intensive Support Team to individuals with autism and complex healthcare needs across Lancashire and South Cumbria. Your role will be to ensure that the person’s health care needs are met and contractual agreements fulfilled. You will be a registered professional who will undertake appropriately delegated work.
• Providing a holistic and personalised approach, supporting the child and their families network.
• Provide intensive support to the whole family with the aim of enhancing their wellbeing, coping skills and resilience.
• Work with the child in a personalised way that maximises their motivations, values and interests to develop effective therapeutic rapport.
• Understand the child and families goals and work in personalised, flexible way to achieve them.
• Complete and/or contribute to robust multiagency risk assessments and risk management plans.
Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.
The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.
