Your New Role
* Providing essential support to children and young adults aged 16-18 years old within residential homes with EBD and Complex Needs.
* Creating a safe and nurturing environment to foster their independence.
* Engaging in diverse day-to-day activities tailored to their needs.
* Assisting with household tasks like cooking and cleaning.
* Logging and note-taking for activities completed, accurately.
* Supporting learning and homework completion, aiding in job and apprenticeship applications.
* Building trust and responsibility to accompany them to appointments and activities.
What you’ll need to succeed
* Preferred Experience: Prior experience in a children's residential home is desirable, as well as experience with youth or young adults at risk. Experience with children is a must, especially those with complex needs. However, we welcome candidates with relevant transferable experience supporting young people with challenging needs.
* Ideal Qualifications: Qualifications such as an NVQ L3 are ideal. An NVQ LVL 2 is a must. Mandatory training evidence will be requested, and any required modules will be assigned through our online training platform.
* Flexibility: We're seeking workers who are flexible with their shift patterns, depending on your circumstances and the clients.
* Resilience: This role can be challenging, so a strong will, perseverance, and patience are essential when dealing with difficult situations.
* Effective Communication: Good written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
