This role includes a mix of day and night shifts -
Day Shifts - 7:40 am - 8:00 pm
Night shifts - 7:40 pm - 8:00 am
Weekend & Bank holiday work included.

Responsibilities:
Support our patients with in-house activities and hobbies
Providing support to achieve every day goals including personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and toileting
Manage some behaviours that challenge
Assistant and support to attend medical appointments
Observe, monitor and record physical and emotional well-being, and promptly report any changes to senior staff
Provide emotional support to individuals and their families
Support and monitor healthcare needs, including medication and temperature checks
Understand communication needs and adapt your communication to each individual
Work with other professionals, such as nurses and therapists, to ensure consistency of support
Analyse an individual’s needs and draw up a focused support plan
Qualifications and Skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and a caring nature
Empathy, understanding and patience
Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
Ability to understand and follow policies and procedure
The ability to anticipate and respond to challenges
Competent in verbal and written English
A healthcare qualification is desirable, but not essential

Additional Information
Located in Blackburn, Lancashire, Priory Hospital Kemple View is a 90-bedded hospital, offering rehabilitation and recovery (R&R) and secure services for adult males. We can support people with a mental health condition and/or a personality disorder. Our team work under the least restrictive practice principles in relation to managing risk, to ensure patients have a good quality of life.

All roles will be subject to a successful disclosure at an appropriate level from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), Access NI or Disclosure Scotland, and the cost of this will be covered by Priory.
