About Them: A vocational training centre specializing in providing secondary students with practical skills in hair and beauty, as well as construction are looking for a HLTA to join their team full time. Their aim is to equip students with the tools they need to further their education and achieve the qualifications required to continue onto college. We believe in offering a supportive and nurturing environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed. The Role: As an HLTA, you will play a vital role in helping our students navigate their educational journey. Your week will be varied and engaging, with two days dedicated to pastoral care and intervention, and three days spent supporting teachers in the classroom. Your responsibilities will include: Providing pastoral care to students, offering emotional and academic support to help them overcome challenges. Implementing intervention strategies to re-engage students who have struggled in mainstream education. Assisting teachers in delivering lessons, with a focus on vocational training in hair and beauty, and construction. Supporting students in developing practical skills that will prepare them for further education and future careers. Working closely with staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued. About You: They are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual who is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of our students. The ideal candidate will have: Experience working with secondary students, particularly those who have faced challenges in mainstream education. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff. The ability to manage and support students in both a classroom and vocational setting. A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine desire to help students achieve their potential. Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and varied role. All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
