Interim VCS Commissioning Manager

An opportunity has arisen with one of our London based clients for an interim Voluntary Community Sector Commissioning Manager. The successful candidate will be an excellent commissioner with strong partnership and collaboration skills, and a track record of working with voluntary sector organisations.
Key responsibilities of the VCS Commissioning Manager include:
1. To take a lead role in engaging with agencies and charitable organisations.
2. Collaborate with teams across the Council to ensure that commissioned services are delivered effectively, are value for money and support the Council’s objectives.
3. Initiate strategic conversations of achievable outcomes that are beneficial to residents of the borough.
4. Communicate and produce reports and recommendations on grants and fund streams.
Essential experience for the VCS Commissioning Manager:
1. Demonstrable experience as a commissioner within the Voluntary Community Sector.
2. Knowledge of community infrastructure and community-based organisations.
3. Good partnership and relationship building skills.
4. Knowledge of different funding channels.
