Do you enjoy data analysis, and identifying areas to improve performance? Lincolnshire County Council is looking for an experienced Performance Manager to join the Client and Contracts team within the Highways Service.
About the role
The Performance Manager is required to oversee the performance management of the Highways Service through a number of mechanisms, reporting for both internal and external partners and colleagues, through the use of key performance indicators and demonstrable value for money measures.
You will use data analysis and reporting tools to report on the quarterly performance of the contracts and the internal teams issuing works. This will also involve collaboration and negotiation with the contractors to ensure there is an agreed set of performance scores each quarter.
You will identify areas for improvement and review the performance measures annually in collaboration with the highways partner organisations to ensure they continue to focus on the areas they need to.
You will also oversee two Project Officers within the team, in their undertaking of projects and reporting across the highways service. Working as part of a wider team, the role will challenge, improve and implement meaningful improvements across the wider Highways service.
The role offers variety and challenges, providing opportunities to expand your skills through training and development, supporting your career progression.
About the team
You will be joining a small friendly team that has the benefit of working with colleagues from across the Highways Service as well as with the management teams from our contractors.
We work in a hybrid way, dividing our time between working from Lancaster House in Lincoln and working remotely. Occasional travel to other offices and depots may be required, so a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
About you
We are looking for someone who has strong people skills, enjoys using data to identify areas for improvement, is proactive, and is able to work autonomously and collaboratively.
About the opportunity
Along with a competitive salary we are offering:
* A Contributory pension
* Comprehensive benefits package including excellent discount schemes and cycle to work
* Flexible working policies
* Career progression opportunities
* A generous annual leave entitlement plus the option to buy more
