We are looking for someone who has 2 years' experience working as a supervisor / manager in a fast food chain.
Position Summary
You are the Captain of the Ship. You are responsible for ensuring consistency of food standards, excellent service, and maintaining the cleanliness and condition of the Restaurant. You are accountable for achieving the store’s sales and profit by maintaining ideal costs of all the restaurant’s expenses, including proper preparation of the weekly roster without sacrificing the guest experience. It is your responsibility to keep your people driven and create a cheerful professional working environment that will keep our guests wanting to return to German Doner Kebab.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Oversees and manages all areas of German Doner Kebab Restaurant.
* Ensures guest service exceeds company standards and strong guest satisfaction is maintained.
* Responds efficiently to guest complaints and takes appropriate action to solve the problem.
* Enforces and ensures the best quality of products possible is served.
* Organises and supervises shifts to ensure both team and guest satisfaction.
* Trains and develops team through strong, well-organised training and ongoing operational feedback.
* Appraises teams’ performance and provides formal feedback to keep them upbeat and productive.
* Estimates consumption, forecasts requirements, and maintains stock inventory to ensure product availability and minimum product wastage.
* Monitors and ensures compliance with food safety and health & safety rules and regulations.
* Controls costs and minimises waste to ensure maximum profitability of the restaurant.
* Successfully promotes and publicises the GDK brand.
* Nurtures a positive working environment and leads by example.
* Monitors all restaurant operations and initiates corrective actions.
* Acts as duty manager on a rotation basis (role shared with supervisors).
* Leads all financial areas including sales growth, cost management, and profit growth.
* Takes responsibility for the business performance of the Restaurant.
* Analyses and plans restaurant sales levels and profitability.
* Organises marketing activities, such as promotional events and discount schemes.
* Prepares reports at the end of the shift/week, including team control, food control, and sales.
* Creates and executes plans for sales, restaurant profit, and staff development.
* Sets budgets and/or agrees them with the franchisee.
* Coordinates the entire operation of the restaurant during scheduled shifts.
* Manages team welfare and provides them with regular feedback.
* Ensures that all employees adhere to the company uniform standards.
* Meets and greets guests and organises table reservations.
* Organises and supervises the shifts of kitchen, dining, and counter team.
* Maintains high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety.
* Checks stock levels and orders supplies as required.
* Prepares cash drawers and provides petty cash as needed.
* Helps in any area of the restaurant when circumstances dictate.
* Takes a proactive role in encouraging teamwork, cooperation, harmony, productivity, and a positive attitude within the working environment.
* Completes all necessary daily reports at the end of each shift.
* Attends any training or meetings as required by German Doner Kebab or the Franchisee.
* Performs any other duties as designated by Operations Manager due to business demands.
* Takes responsibility for and ensures the security of a German Doner Kebab Restaurant.
* Works with supervisors to coordinate all aspects of stock deliveries and keeps accurate records.
* Regularly collaborates with GDK and the Franchisee to ensure the monthly accounts are accurate and the receipt and administration of all deliveries are up to date.
* Administers and maintains the German Doner Kebab PMC system.
* Monitors stock storage areas, ensuring they are secure, neat, and clean at all times.
* Collaborates with the supervisors to ensure tight stock control and budgeted margins are achieved.
* Monitors daily ordering to ensure stock levels are maintained and orders are placed in a timely manner.
* Meets and greets all customers where possible and role models exceptional customer care.
* Monitors the training of restaurant staff, including holding annual performance reviews.
* Leads and complies with maintaining high standards of food quality.
* Supports the supervisors and colleagues at peak times and undertakes any operational duty which might be reasonably required to ensure guest expectations are met.
* Ensures GDK team are always well-groomed and smart ready for work.
* Promotes and follows legal responsibilities and requirements associated with the business at all times.
* Maintains a local authority food safety certificate (i.e., scores on the doors 5 stars). Checks all areas of the restaurant to ensure compliance with the EHO and fire safety officers.
* Possesses a good working knowledge of all equipment and efficiently takes care of preventative maintenance.

Qualifications
A qualified candidate for the position of a Restaurant Manager should have outstanding interactive and communication skills and also possess the enthusiasm to work with colleagues and staff as a team player. In addition to these, the following qualities, skills, knowledge, and abilities are most sought:
* Proven working experience as a Restaurant Manager.
* Demonstrated experience in customer service management.
* Extensive food knowledge.
* Proficiency in English.
* Computer literacy and familiarity with restaurant management software.
* Strong leadership, motivational, and people skills.
