Football Coach and make a lasting impact!
This is a permanent part-time role offering 6hrs per week - Saturday 12 - 6pm
Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver exciting, high-quality football coaching sessions for young people aged 6-21, ensuring inclusivity and safety.
* Use football as a tool to help young people build social skills, confidence, and aspirations.
* Encourage participation in group activities, helping young people form connections and gain new experiences.
* Introduce players to the value of small-sided games (e.g., 5v5, 7v7) to develop their skills effectively.
* Evaluate sessions using FireFit Hub’s Youth Outcomes Framework to ensure continuous improvement and high standards.
* Support Lead Youth Workers in liaising with other organisations to arrange competitive football opportunities for young people.
* Maintain a positive environment during sessions by promoting good behaviour and discipline.
* Ensure all equipment is in excellent condition and ready for use.
* Monitor and evaluate activities to meet performance targets and the needs of young people.
* Safeguard the welfare of young people, ensuring any concerns are reported in line with FireFit policies.
* Actively promote FireFit Hub, encouraging youth membership and participation.
Skills & Experience:
* Minimum of FA Level 1/2 in Coaching Football
* First Aid at Work qualification (or be willing to work towards)
* Experience of delivering football coaching to diverse cohorts of young people
* Experience of challenging behaviour of young people and knowledge of conflict management
Interview Process:
Candidates will undergo in-person interviews, consisting of competency-based questions. Interviews will take place no sooner than
11th Feb 2025, and will be held between 1700 – 2100hrs.
