Main duties of the job As a Lead Nurse, your role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities and leadership such as: Shift coordination - overseeing staffing levels and production of rotas. Participating in audits Management of junior members of staff Supporting multi-disciplinary team's such as: o Diabetic retinopathy screening o AAA screening o Ultrasounds and X-Rays Medication rounds and dispensing Emergency response situations Patient assessments Nurse-led clinics, such as: o NHS Health Checks o Immunisations and Vaccinations o NHS Bowel Screening o Phlebotomy clinics o Wound and Tissue Viability assessments. Assessing new patients who have just arrived at the establishment for the first time.
