As the Business Development Manager, your role will be to drive and deliver growth into TVS Interfleet’s well-known and established network of OEMs, Dealers, and Brands. Our Purpose Bodies team works with some of the UK’s leading brands, with instantly recognisable products, giving this role real exposure for the successful candidate.
What is the role?
We have set ambitious targets for the division in the next financial year, and as such, you will need to be a proven business winner and developer within the OEM commercial vehicle world. You will oversee and conduct market research to develop and implement sales initiatives and strategies, work closely with the design and applications teams on product development within the ambient bodies market, and provide leadership to the business on areas of growth.

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Maintaining and increasing sales of your company’s products.
2. Reaching the targets and goals set for your area.
3. Establishing, maintaining, and expanding Purpose Bodies customer base.
4. Servicing the needs of existing customers.
5. Increasing business opportunities through various routes to market.
6. Defining an ambient body strategy particularly in the dealer network.
7. Collecting customer feedback and market research.
8. Reporting to leadership team and senior managers.
9. Keeping up to date with products and competitors.
10. Maintaining and upkeep of Salesforce.
11. Other duties as required by Line Manager.
You will need to have the following experience:
1. Educated to a high standard in a business-related discipline, or vocational standard.
2. A proven record in sales and reaching targets.
3. Ideally from a related industry or an OEM supplier.
4. Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
5. Initiative and enthusiasm.
6. Ability to work under pressure.
7. Good commercial awareness.
8. Ability to work within a team environment.
9. Fully fluent in spoken and written English and confident communicator with the ability to clearly and accurately present information to all levels of the company.
10. A full driving license.
