Closing Date for Application: Saturday 14/09/2024 Polypipe Building Products are focused on delivering solutions to the residential sector. Polypipe Building Products works with national and local developers, plumbing and heating engineers, general builders and groundworkers to deliver above and below ground drainage systems, rainwater solutions as well as hot and cold plastic plumbing products. Role: To provide operational and administrative support to the Transport Department in an effective and efficient manner. This is a fixed term role covering Maternity Leave and can start with the business in July. The role will be for 13 months. Working Hours: Monday to Friday weekly rotating shifts - 7:00am - 3:00pm and 11:00am - 7:00pm. Key Responsibilities: Answering calls from internal and external customers Dealing with sales office and customer service queries Deal with drivers problems when on the road. Pick reporting-loads in full, balances, alterations, returns Printing off delivery notes Allocation of drivers work including vehicle details. Plan and allocate transport requests. Plan any return drops onto future loads for redelivery. Filling information, such as driver’s names, trailer numbers and registrations for every load into the IFS Updating load book with information about loads leaving the site- trailer numbers Chasing paperwork- balances, alterations, missing paperwork (missing pages, lines, wrong trailer numbers etc) Processing UFH loads, staying in touch with UFH team and customer service Planning RMAs manually, from DIPS and on demand Inputting & Processing Purchase orders. Checking Invoices against submitted PO’s and submitting for payment. Updating departmental fleet management systems and databases Inform drivers when their service and/or MOT is due. Filing maintenance reports and defects, documentation etc Checking Driver hours against payroll. Debrief drivers. Balancing and recording shortages from Pick/Despatch & drivers. Various project support when requested. Scanning or photocopying paperwork Skills & Requirements: Experience or knowledge in the Transport industry/department is advantageous but not essential for this role A standard level of numeric, literacy and IT Skills (Polypipe tested) Excellent communications skills Able to work to deadlines with flexibility towards hours worked. The ability to use own initiative with excellent organisational skills.
