Infectious Diseases is looking to recruit 2 enthusiastic, self-motivated Senior Health Care Support Workers to complement our existing friendly team. Within the CAS division we have 13 beds and care for a variety of patients both male and female, of varying age ranges. We specialise in infectious and tropical diseases and our patient come from diverse backgrounds.

We are a 24/7 service and this position require you to work long days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.

We are looking for forward thinking, motivated Senior Health Care Support Workers who want to provide the best possible outcome for their patients. The Infectious Diseases team are a multi-professional team with an excellent track record of providing specialist care. You do not need Infectious Diseases experience to join our team but you do need to be able to demonstrate kindness and that you are able to deliver care to a high standard. In return we offer a supernumerary period for you to settle in, regular appraisals where your learning needs are identified and bespoken training in Infectious Diseases through study days.

To work as a member of our team providing a high quality service to our patients.
Provide support to the RHP and, where appropriate, other members of the clinical Team as required.
Demonstrates care and compassion to patients, carers and relatives to help ensure high quality person centred patient care is deliver at all times.
Maintain good relationships and and empathic approach to the patient's family, relatives and cares and refer them to an RHP for any questions they may have on the patient's condition, or for any suggestions or complains that they wish to raise.
Be an accessible, approachable member of the team as a first point of contact for patients and families.
Be able to work independently within the scope of the role.
