Space Planner Micro

The purpose of this role is to maximise profitability of range, space and display solutions through the application of space planning principles.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Supporting the space planning manager in the creation and implementation of range management, planograms and new merchandising concepts
2. Building key relationships with Operations, Property, Commercial team and Suppliers
3. Developing and delivering the support package for all branch works
4. Ensuring the most effective and profitable use is made of available space in our branches, through sales and GP per square foot maximisation
5. Maximising the sale of product through the development of accurate and practical planograms and merchandising layouts
6. Managing the introduction of new ranges through to implementation in branch
7. Generating space/sales statistics to ensure that informed decisions can be made regarding space allocation of products
8. Developing innovative racking and equipment which enables safe and more effective product display
9. Communicating all planogram and category changes to operations ensuring that they are within pre-agreed branch workload parameters with the relevant Category Manager
10. Providing advice, recommendations regarding merchandising, ranging opportunities and product productivity
11. Taking an active role in the range review process
12. Making maximum use of the Innovation Centre
What you’ll need to have:
1. Experience in space planning and planogram development, preferably in a retail/building materials environment.
2. Proficiency in space planning software
3. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and consumer behaviour insights.
4. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
5. Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and precision in planogram design.
6. Strategic mindset with the ability to balance business objectives and customer needs.
7. Knowledge of retail merchandising principles
