A bit about the job:
This is a pivotal role where you will own, end-to-end, Aviva's Windows, Mac, Mobile, Meeting Room and Virtual platforms and services, ensuring all our 37K colleagues have performant and secure devices and virtual environments with access to the applications they need to do their best work. There are a mix of Aviva and 3rd party colleagues using these services both onshore, in our offices and offshore, covering back office and front-line use cases. Our customer-facing contact centres being any area of particular focus.
Key duties will be:
* Design and ownership of the technical roadmap for the area; ensures alignment with Aviva's strategy and enterprise architecture roadmaps, putting colleague experience, risk, and efficiency at the core.
* Effective resource management to maintain skills and capabilities to deliver the roadmap and operate 24x7 services.
* Effective supplier management to maximise service performance and ensure the right technology choices are made.
* Risk and control overview, and assessment decisions and management where risk/control owner/nominee.
Skills and experience we're looking for:
* Must have hands-on experience engineering and supporting physical and virtual estates and delivering relevant transformation in a large enterprise.
* Must have deep and broad technical, commercial, and delivery experience in the areas of scope.
* Ability to manage a high workload effectively.
* Understanding of relevant industry trends and benchmarks, in particular Modern Workplace in Financial Services or other highly secure industries.
* Good understanding of risk and control environment, and management of risk - experience of Financial Services would be beneficial.
