Teaching Assistant – Specialist School in Hythe
Are you passionate about supporting young people with trauma-related behaviours and additional needs? A small, nurturing school in Hythe is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities:
* Supporting students with trauma-related behaviours and special educational needs.
* Working closely with teachers and support staff to create a safe and engaging learning environment.
* Adapting learning materials and strategies to meet individual student needs.
* Helping students develop confidence, resilience, and positive relationships.
Qualifications:
* Experience or knowledge of SEND in education or care settings.
* A compassionate and patient approach to supporting students.
* Prior school-based experience is an advantage, but transferable skills and personal experience will be considered.
* The ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals.
* Due to the school’s location, a driving licence or local residency is preferred.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
