Role: Engineering Technician
Location: Plymouth, England
Job Description
You will be integral in maintaining and optimizing production processes. Your role will involve collaborating with engineers, leading training efforts, and driving operational improvements to ensure efficiency and quality in our manufacturing operations.
Main Responsibilities
1. Set up and maintain electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems on production equipment.
2. Collaborate with the engineering team to monitor and enhance processes for output and waste management.
3. Provide leadership and training to associates on the production floor.
4. Address process performance issues and proactively drive operational improvements.
Qualifications:
1. Demonstrated technical proficiency with a variety of production equipment.
2. Working knowledge of mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic systems.
3. Ability to recognize, define, and correct equipment deficiencies promptly.
4. Knowledge of current technology, including electronic controls, high-speed assembly operations, and data collection systems (MES, etc.).
5. Proficiency in PLC operations, robotics, maintenance, and programming.
6. Ability to read and interpret schematics, machining, tooling design, part drawings, and pneumatic schematics.
7. Strong skills in electrical industrial systems.
8. Ability to understand and adhere to specifications, procedures, and requirements.
