Are you skilled in general building work and looking to make a difference in your community? Luton Council is seeking a Tradesperson Support Officer to join our team, supporting maintenance, repair, and refurbishment projects that directly benefit our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
* Building Expertise: Apply your hands-on experience in building maintenance, ensuring quality repairs and refurbishments across our projects.
* Material Handling: Safely handle, load, secure, and transport building materials.
* Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with clients, tenants, managers, and supervisors, maintaining a polite and tactful approach.
* Independent & Team-Oriented: Confidently work solo or as part of a team, making shared decisions as needed.
* Initiative & Professionalism: Take ownership of your tasks while adhering to established procedures.

About you
Essential Skills & Requirements:
* Building Knowledge: Proven experience in general building and maintenance tasks.
* Understanding of Regulations: Basic knowledge of Health and Safety and Manual Handling regulations.
* Commitment to Equality: Awareness of the effects of discrimination on service delivery and client interactions.
* Physical Capability: Able to climb ladders and work at heights daily.
* Driving Licence: Full, current licence required.
