As a leading provider of UK wide employment support and training services, we are delighted to be building a brand-new team to deliver employment advice, information and guidance and vocational training to those in long-term unemployment as part of the Department of Work and Pensions “Restart Programme”.
Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate, customer service focused and diligent Administrator to support our team of Employment Advisors and Trainers. You’ll have a keen eye for detail, enjoy working with people and be highly organised as no two days will be the same. This will be a fixed term position for one year.
Based in our offices, our Administrator will be absolutely key to the successful delivery of the programme, as you will:
Be the first point of contact for participants both on the phone and face to face, assessing their initial needs and directing them to the most appropriate form(s) of support, provide invaluable administrative support to the delivery team – managing diaries, room bookings, maintaining participant databases and pre-training registration activities, preparing training rooms, collating records of training attendance, coordination of course evaluations and administration of participant travel expenses and other payments, undertake other general administration and support duties as required i.e., creating reports to provide updates on participant activities, payments and issuing local marketing and communications, ensuring that the centre’s reception area offers a warm, friendly and personal welcome to all visitors.
You will enjoy working in a dynamic, fast paced team, have a minimum ability (not qualification) at L2 / GCSE level in English and Math’s, possess an excellent understanding of Microsoft office packages including Excel, Word, Outlook, as well as experience of using and maintaining complex databases and adhering to strict deadlines and month-end timetables. A Business Administration Qualification (e.g., NVQ 2 Business Administration or similar) is desirable but not essential.
