This is an exciting opportunity to work within the MindMate Support Team (MHST) based in the City of Leeds. We currently have 1 EMHP post available within the team.
The Band 5 Education Mental Health Practitioner will work with colleagues across the city of Leeds, working closely with education settings and professionals supporting children, young people and their families.
The post involves working directly with schools, colleges and settings providing information, advice and guidance through consultation, training, direct work with children and young people and their families and delivering evidence based interventions.
We will require successful applicants to be registered with either the BABCP or the BPS as you will be working within a NHS commissioned service.
The post-holder will work within Leeds Community Health Care NHS Trust and provide a range of assessment and other interventions with individuals and wider systems basis under close clinical supervision from experienced staff.
Regular case management and clinical supervision on an individual and group basis will be offered to ensure excellent clinical standards and registration are maintained.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will be able to deliver a range of 1:1 and group Low Intensity CBT based interventions for children, young people, and parents/carers.
In addition to this the post holder will be expected to input and work to deliver a whole setting approach within educational settings developing excellent professional working relationships along the way. The successful applicant will be identified a mini team working alongside a fellow EMHP overseen by a practitioner.
