Job Purpose and Overview The main purpose of this role is to provide a high level of skilled administrative support as part of the Probate team. The overall objective is to ensure your areas of responsibility are completed and passed to your colleagues in a timely, efficient and accurate manner. Key tasks and Accountabilities Corresponding with beneficiaries, financial institutions and other key parties to obtain accurate and detailed information Providing general advice either in person, via telephone or email Drafting of detailed documentation including statements, accounts and different types of application related to each case Person Specification Ideally you will have 2-3 years’ experience in probate and estate administration experience, working as a Legal Assistant Strong organisational and administrative skills, able to set own priorities for the day ahead Good time management skills to ensure deadlines and turnaround times are achieved Good written and verbal communication skills Good listener who sees value in building a meaningful relationship with our clients, can show empathy and shares our passion for this line of work Good telephone skills with a friendly and approachable manner, keen to generate an excellent first impression Good attention to detail with a methodical approach to administrative tasks Team player who sees helping others as a fundamental part of the role Good IT skills in order to enable the postholder to quickly learn our Case Management System Able to work on own initiative Able to juggle priorities to ensure work is carried out in order of importance A willingness to learn What we offer you A Flexible working environment All employees are currently able to opt to work one day a week from home (pro rata for part time staff) The flexibility to take annual leave from as little as one hour at a time We also operate a flexitime working system providing flexibility with hours of work Lunchtime closure across the firm with one hour lunch break ½ day leave to celebrate your Birthday Salary and benefits We offer a competitive salary within a salary scale that allows ongoing progression A starting annual leave entitlement of 31 days (including bank holidays) increasing by a further 2 weeks with service Full-time hours which are lower than many employers at 35 hours per week over Monday to Friday We operate a non-contractual bonus scheme which you will benefit from after completion of our “settling in” period This role will be based at our Regent Street office, located in Mansfield.
