PERMANENT ROLE – CLASS 2 DRIVER – 5 OVER 7 – £16.22 PER HOUR
Wincanton is offering the opportunity for an experienced Class 2 Lorry Driver to join our prestigious client Primark., as part of the delivery team out of Warrington.
Deliveries are a mix of palletised goods and hanging rails, using a pump truck and vehicle tail lift to store’s or RDC's, ensuring that goods are delivered on time, offloaded in the correct manner, paperwork is signed, and any agreed waste or cages is collected to be returned
1. £16.22 per hour
2. 40 hours per week contract
3. Shift Pattern – 5 over 7
4. Start times available: 10:00 12:00 & 14:00
How will you contribute?
5. Average 2 to 3 store delivery drops per day
6. Ensuring all documentation is completed accurately with attention to detail.
7. You will be responsible for the accurate and timely movement and delivery of our customers’ products.
8. Adhering to safe working practices to ensure the safety of yourself and others at all times.
9. Complying with all relevant legislation in line with Driver’s Hours and Working Time Directive requirements (opt-out available).
10. Responsible for the Health and Safety of themselves and others, completion of dynamic risk assessments, adhering to safe working practices and the Health & Safety at Work Act, including accident, incident, and damage reporting.
11. To ensure contractual KPI’s over the delivery of the product is undertaken in both a legally compliant and health and safety manner.
12. Attending any relevant training as required to ensure you remain fully equipped to perform your role effectively and to assist in the development of continuous improvement.
13. Keep the vehicle you use clean, tidy, and well cared for, so it is ready to be used the next day.
What will you bring?
14. Must have valid in date Class 2 licence
15. Must have valid in date drivers CPC card
16. Must hold Digital tachograph card
17. Must have 6 months of Class 2 driving experience
18. Must not have more than 6 points on licence
19. Possess excellent customer facing awareness skills
20. Good timekeeper and able to work unsupervised
21. Enthusiastic and reliable with a commitment to delivering first class customer service
22. Must have good communication skills and a flexible can-do attitude to work
23. Must have a good geographical knowledge
