Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Sourcing Manager to support the Head of Procurement in the roll out and management of the new Procurement Code. As the Senior Sourcing Manager you will work with the Sourcing Managers to ensure projects are delivered and also be involved in the implementation of a new contract management system.
Duties will include;
1. Support the Head of Procurement in the roll out of the university’s new Procurement Code
2. Act as the escalation point and senior relationship manager for Estates
3. Take ownership of overall category vision and drive delivery across categories alongside relevant Sourcing Managers
4. Negotiate high value/high risk contracts
5. Establish and develop strong relationships with senior level stakeholders
6. Offer support to the Sourcing Managers, day to day
7. Identify and promote value added opportunities
8. Engage with the community and local SMEs in line with organisation’s Sustainable Procurement policies
Person:
The successful Senior Sourcing Manager:
9. Experience of delivering multiple high value/high risk procurement projects
10. MCIPS or equivalent
11. Strategic procurement experience across multiple categories
12. Public Sector procurement experience
13. Strong stakeholder management experience
14. Contract negotiation experience
