We are looking for a part-time Payroll and Accounts Assistant. The company is based in a lovely rural setting between Bromey and Sevenoaks. Your own transport would help, but there is a regular bus service. Part time: 22.5 hours per week. As the Payroll and Accounts Assistant, you will manage the payroll processes and support the accounts function. Key responsibilities: Payroll Administration: Process and manage the end-to-end monthly payroll for 200 employees, ensuring compliance with UK legislation, including tax codes, pensions, and statutory deductions (PAYE, NI, etc.) Process payments for holiday, SSP, SMP, SPP and statutory deductions Maintain employee records, including starters, leavers, and any adjustments Liaise with HMRC regarding payroll submissions, tax codes, queries and year-end procedures Prepare and distribute payslips, P60s and P45s Oversee the company timekeeping system for hourly paid staff and the holiday portal Ensure the company pension scheme is up to date Help employees and management with payroll queries Produce relevant management information and reports The company is well-established and has an excellent reputation for caring for its staff and customers.
