To grow our team in Glasgow, we are looking for a Graduate Engineering Geologist to join us. Working on a wide range of projects you’ll co-create on some of the most prestigious infrastructure programmes in the UK. You'll also be supported by our engineers on your ongoing professional development (Chartership) with a tailored plan to achieve your career aspirations.
Your key responsibilities will be:
1. Undertaking engineering geological, geotechnical and rock engineering work in accordance with project requirements.
2. Preparing calculations, undertaking regional- and site-scale engineering geological mapping and modelling, writing desk study reports, ground investigation reports and geotechnical design reports, preparing ground investigation specifications.
3. Checking design calculations, reports and drawings done by other engineers.
4. With the support of your project manager, plan and prioritise your workload, reporting back on progress against a project budget and programme.
5. Being responsible for delivering your own work to a high technical standard, ensuring accuracy through a diligent and conscientious approach to self-checking.
6. Attending site visits and client meetings as required.
7. Supervising ground investigations.

On top of that, you’ll have:
1. A BSc in Geology together with an MSc in either Engineering Geology or Geotechnical Engineering.
2. Aspiring to become a Chartered Geologist or Chartered Engineer.
3. Ideally some experience of working in a design environment (year in industry).
4. Demonstrated understanding and enthusiasm for engineering geology or geotechnical engineering and a personal commitment to technical excellence.
5. Able to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
