Job Overview Access to Health Records Clerk 2 Positions available (1 x 30 hours per week and 1 x 20 hours per week) We are looking for highly motivated people to join our busy team of cheerful and hardworking staff in the Medical Records Department in the Access to Health Records team. The job will involve providing an efficient and effective confidential administrative service for Solicitors, third party and patient requests for Access to Health Records under the Data Protection Act and Access to Health Records Act. The position involves liaising with outside agencies such as Solicitors, Social Services, Police and other Government Departments, direct contact with public, patients and their relatives and medical, nursing and administrative staff in the hospital. The Post Holder will be required to work using own initiative working to deadlines and prioritising own work. The Records Supervisor and Head of Health Records will be available for support if required. The role would also include cross-cover for other areas, including Medical Records Office and Acute Admissions. You will provide support and guidance in regards to records procedures and standards. Including the monitoring, audit and rectification of errors and missing data. Therefore, you must be able to work in an organised manner and at times under pressure.
