Job summary We now have two vacancies for a part time (30 hours), Band 3 Administrator to work at St James' House in Salford. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the practice team and to undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice. You will ensure that all administrative processes are carried out in a timely and accurate manner and will facilitate effective communication between patients, carers, clinicians, medical staff, and other admin & clerical colleagues. You will be expected to participate in cover arrangements for other Admin & Clerical staff as required. Main duties of the job To communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and carers to maximise delivery of care. Coordinate and schedule patient appointments. Register new patients and maintain up-to-date records for existing patients. Answering phone calls, responding to emails, and managing patient/carer enquiries. Providing administrative support to doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Handling prescription requests and coordinating with pharmacies. To check and update patient demographic details as required on relevant departmental systems. Liaise with relevant departments to ensure that further actions are completed following receipt of clinical correspondence and telephone communication. To ensure that all information relating to patients and staff is accurately documented, stored confidentially and is password protected.
