Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Council are looking for a Plumber to join our team in Great Wenham. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will earn a competitive salary of £35,930 per annum (pro rata for part time) + Tool Allowance.

We are looking for a Plumber to join our Housing Repairs and Maintenance Team. To be successful, you will share our values, commitment, and motivation to make a difference for our residents, clients, and communities.
About the role
This is an opportunity to join the councils new dynamic housing repairs team.
1. You will be part of a dedicated team responsible for undertaking high quality reactive plumbing repairs and maintenance works, across our 7,000 occupied properties.
2. Work will include internal and external plumbing repairs and maintenance to occupied properties.
3. You will provide outstanding customer service and excellent standards of performance to the public and tenants of Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils.
About you
In addition to having strong technical plumbing skills you will need to have a focused customer service approach and be adaptable and resourceful when working in the team or independently across the districts.
You will need:
1. NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing
2. Awareness of related Health and Safety issues, practice and responsibilities
3. Ability to use mobile tablet technology
4. Good communication and customer service skills
5. Be a team player, who can also work independently
6. Have a “can do” attitude to solving plumbing issues for residents and tenants.
