HR Officer
Location: Paisley (Hybrid – typically 1 day a week in office)
Salary: up to £26,520 per annum
Hours: 35 per week (typically Mon - Fri)
Contract: Fixed Term Contract (maternity cover, up to 12 months)

As a HR Officer, your purpose is to provide first-level support in employee and volunteer advice and casework. A day in the life of our HR Officer can involve:
* Handling and providing guidance for a variety of cases, following BRC policies and legal requirements.
* Keeping track of cases in a management system, documenting important details and outcomes.
* Raising complex issues to the appropriate advisors with recommended actions.
* Keeping relevant parties informed about the progress of their cases.
* Responding to inquiries, offering assistance and escalating when necessary.
* Reviewing occupational health referrals and helping managers with the processing.
* Taking charge of the entire maternity process, offering personalized advice to both managers and employees.
* Assisting advisors by providing administrative assistance and managing cases in their absence, as per delegation guidelines.
To be a successful HR Officer, you’ll need:
* A relevant qualification in HR or equivalent experience, familiar with case handling, effective communication, letter writing, and providing advice and guidance.
* Familiarity with HR systems and processes.

* Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and other IT tools.
* Ability to provide advice and guidance via phone and email, with strong customer service skills.
