Financial Operations Assistant required for a company in Redditch to work on a hybrid basis with 3 days in Redditch based offices
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our Financial Operations Team on a 2-month temporary contract. This role is key to ensuring accurate financial transactions, processing payments efficiently, and maintaining financial records. You will work closely with internal teams to support financial processes while ensuring compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
-Processing Refunds: Accurately refund payments to customers' bank accounts or cards in a timely manner.
-Overpayment Management: Review cases with overpayments and determine the appropriate allocation of funds.
-Transaction and Case Documentation: Ensure all financial transactions and case notes are accurately updated and maintained.
-Payment Transfers: Move payments between cases, liaising with other departments where necessary to ensure smooth processing.
-Fee Adjustments: Apply or remove fees as required, ensuring correct financial adjustments are made.
-Unreferenced Payments: Review and investigate unreferenced payments, ensuring they are correctly assigned.
-Invoice Processing: Generate and distribute copy invoices as required.
Key Skills & Experience
-Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numerical data and have worked in accounts previously
-Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
-Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders
