Are you a motivated individual to looking to join a mental health Acute service? Based at Chase Farm Hospital Enfield, this service offers assessment and treatment to individuals who are admitted to the wards. It is an integral part of the local adult mental health care pathway and works in partnership with key stakeholders.
You will be part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team and therapy department within the hospital who provide input to service users to develop individualised care plans to prepare for discharge. The principles of coproduction and Values Based Practice are key to the delivery of the service.
The Inpatient Therapy Team is a supportive and dynamic team providing assessment and treatment to three acute psychiatric wards, PICU and the complex rehabilitation ward at Chase Farm Hospital.
A therapeutic group treatment programme runs across the wards to meet the needs of patients who are, experiencing an acute phase of their mental illness on the acute wards, and those on the rehabilitation unit who have a range of continuing mental health problems. The team works with a recovery focused approach with occupation, wellbeing and skill development at the core of treatment in line with individual care plans.
We are looking for an Activity Co-ordinator who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and who will be able to deliver high quality patient care & focussed outcomes.
- To be part of the Inpatient Therapy Team who provide occupational therapy based on the Model of Human Occupation.
- To be an active member of the multi-disciplinary teams on the wards and, with supervision, contribute to assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care. The post will support the delivery of the OT provision to a designated caseload, focusing on recovery and developing skills for life.
- This will include facilitating a range of therapeutic groups and individual sessions, contributing to multidisciplinary team care planning, formulation and risk assessment.
- You will work closely with the MDT to provide occupational therapy assessment and intervention as part of the acute clinical pathway. The team includes: Peer Activity Coordinators, Occupational Therapists, Arts Therapists, Health and Fitness Instructor and Technical Instructor.

In order to meet the needs of the Trust you may be required from time to time to work at different locations to your normal place of work. This may mean that you are required to work at any location that fall under Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey or Islington. The Trust reserves the right to require staff to work at such other places or locations as it considers reasonable and necessary on a temporary or permanent basis.
